Estados Unidos, Bernard Sanders y Michael Michaud vinieron a Costa Rica
por invitación de Ottón Solís, para apoyar la campaña del NO contra el
Tratado de Libre Comercio. Cumplieron su compromiso con
Ottón, interfiriendo en los asuntos internos de Costa Rica, al
tratar de convencer a la ciudadanía de votar NO. </span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="margin-left: 18pt; text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="2" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD">Los aliados de Ottón Solís en el
Congreso de Estados Unidos son enemigos de los intereses de los
costarricenses. La estrategia perversa de colaboración con el NO, llevó
a Ottón a ofrecer una plataforma para que se opongan al TLC, a
sabiendas de que también se oponen a los beneficios de la Iniciativa de la Cuenca del Caribe
para Costa Rica, como lo de muestra el record de votos de ellos en el
Congreso.</span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="3" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD">El discurso de ellos en Costa
Rica fue calculadamente coincidente con el del NO. Ottón
ocultó las posiciones y acciones de los Congresistas sobre temas
comerciales y el record de ataques contra los intereses de los
costarricenses. Sus votos en el Congreso y su actividad en Estados
Unidos van contra los objetivos de los trabajadores costarricenses y los
productores costarricenses. </span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="4" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold;" lang="ES-TRAD">Ambos votaron contra
el CAFTA y ambos votaron contra los beneficios de la Iniciativa de la Cuenca del Caribe
que benefician a Costa Rica.</span></font></b></li>

<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="5" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><b><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt; font-weight: bold;" lang="ES-TRAD">Sanders, como
Michaud no se opusieron solamente a "este tratado".
Ambos</span></font></b><font size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> <b><span style="font-weight: bold;">se han opuesto a todos los
TLCs que EE.UU. ha negociado, se han opuesto a la Iniciativa de la Cuenca del Caribe,
se han opuesto a las exportaciones textiles y atún de nuestro país hacia
EE.UU., se han opuesto a las inversiones de EE.UU. en Costa Rica y han
propuesto sanciones contra las empresas que vengan a invertir aquí.</span></b></span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="6" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD">Sanders ha abogado y ha votado por
el retiro definitivo de EE.UU. de la Organización
Mundial del Comercio para que no tengan que cumplir
con las reglas multilaterales, que los obliga a mantener
determinados niveles de acceso, a respetar los mecanismos de solución de
controversias y para que EE.UU. pueda tomar medidas restrictivas
unilaterales contra otros países. </span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="7" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD">Sus posiciones son contra
cualquier esquema comercial que otorgue mejor acceso a las exportaciones
de Costa Rica, sea por TLC o por la ICC porque argumentan que cualquiera de
ellos va a crear más puestos de trabajo en nuestro país. </span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>
<ol style="margin-top: 0cm;" start="8" type="1">
<li style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD">Los Congresistas Sanders y Michaud
son los más fuertes militantes de la concentración de la riqueza en el
mundo en EE.UU y el la Unión Europea, dejando al margen a los
países en desarrollo. </span></font></li>

aseguraron que más de la mitad de los congresistas de EE.UU. se oponen
al TLC y quisieran mejorarlo. Lo que no explicaron fue en qué
forma lo mejorarían. Ni ellos ni Ottón Solís explicaron que
ellos mismos se habían opuesto a la aprobación de este tratado en el
Congreso, por el acceso mejorado que se otorgó a nuestras exportaciones
y porque se crearían nuevas inversiones en nuestro país que generarían
muchos empleos. </span></font></li>
</ol>
<p style="text-align: justify;"><font face="Times New Roman" size="2"><span style="font-size: 10pt;" lang="ES-TRAD"> </span></font></p>

amigos de don Ottón Solís, pero ciertamente no son amigos de Costa Rica,
no son amigos de las exportaciones costarricenses, no lo son de las
inversiones de empresas e EE.UU.en Costa Rica y sobre todo, no son
amigos de los trabajadores de nuestro país. </span></font></li>

por razones opuestas a los intereses de Costa Rica? </span></font></li>

apoyen y vengan a decirlo desde su casa en Costa Rica?</span></font></li>

segura y al mismo tiempo se apoya y apoya a los Congresistas que se
opusieron a ésta en Washington? </span></font></li>

la renegociación es la vía, como si fuera un ejercicio en el sólo Costa
Rica puede proponer cambios, sin explicar que Sanders y Michaud se opusieron
al TLC por razones que chocan contra lo que propone el NO?
¿Aceptaría Ottón en su hipotética renegociación las posiciones dañinas
de los Congresistas, como sancionar a quienes inviertan y creen puestos
de trabajo en Costa Rica?</span></font></li>
